FAQ

If you have a question that isn't covered below, pop me an email : natureclips@gmail.com

Q. How do I access your latest free videos?
Most of my videos can now be downloaded directly. Search my site or head to the 'download links' page.

If a video link isn't up yet, send me an email. Some videos I only share with supporters so please do one of the following to help support NatureClip:

a) Subscribe to my YouTube channel or:
a) Like me on facebook
b) Tweet about me on Twitter
c) Add me as a recommended channel

This helps to spread the word about my free content.

Q. How to I attribute you?
A. "video title" CC-BY, NatureClip, (speech marks are not needed)
     http://natureclip.co.nr

Place this at end of video or in the info box. A link back to my channel or website helps others to find the content.

Q. Can I use your video to make money?
A. Yes, as long as you attribute me.

Q. Can I edit your video to fit my music?
A. Yes

Q. Where is the download link?
A. If not present, it is only available to subscribers/followers. Message me and I will send the link to you.

Q. I need to use your video but I won't be able to attribute you.
A. That would come under a different license - please email me to discuss.

Q. Can I store your videos on my file sharing site?
A. No. These videos are free to re-use in your own individual projects. For business inquiries, contact me to discuss.

Q. Can I sell your videos?
A. It depends on what you mean. Certainly not in their original form. You can use my videos in your project for commercial purposes but if they only consist of my work, you cannot sell them.

 Q. What does 'assigning a license to your original content' mean? If I created a video using your content and credited you, do I own the video? For example, could I enter the final project into film festivals and competitions or would that be breaching the T&C?

A. Your new creation can be assigned any license you like, you can copyright it, enter it into competitions and so on. That video is yours to do with what you wish (alongside credit).
'Assigning a license to my original content' would be like creating a compilation of just my videos and then selling them under a 'royalty free' license or claiming them as your own. Someone has tried to do this before which is why I put that condition in place. It is frustrating when I give away free videos for others to use for creative purposes (in the way that you will be using them) and someone just takes them all and sells them as their own.

Q. Why do you want me to subscribe to your channel/follow you on Twitter/like you on Facebook etc. to access your latest content? Isn't it all about the sharing?
A. This only applies to a small number of my videos and is to help spread news about my channel so I can share my content with more people. If you don't want to use social media, pop me a message any way , I'm sure I'll be able to help you out.

Q. I don't use Twitter or Facebook, can I still use your videos?
A. Yes.

Q. I don't have a YouTube account, can I still access your videos for free?
Yes.

Q. What happens if I don't attribute you?
A. It isn't hard to attribute an author so there isn't really an excuse for not doing so. There are occasions where credit isn't possible, pop me an email and we can discuss cost-effective (even free) alternatives. Please note though, that if you try to pass the content off as your own, this is the same as any other copyright infringement. It will carry the same consequences. See T&C.

Q. Is there a charge if I don't attribute you?
A. By using my content, you agree to my terms and conditions. If you do not attribute me without prior permission you are using a 'non-attribution license' which you will have to pay to use.

Q. I found your content on a royalty-free site. Can I buy it from them?
A.  No, they are not allowed to assign new rights to my content. Never buy my raw content from another source as it is free alongside credit. Please email me details so I can ensure those that did get a refund from the sellers. If you do use it without credit you will be in breach of copyright too.

Q. Do you own all these videos?
A. Yes. I create all my own original video content. I don't share videos that contain other people's video content under a creative commons license.

Q. If I buy a non-attribution license, do I own the video?
A. No, I own all rights to my content. This license will allow you to use it in ONE specific project unless otherwise stated.

Q. Do you have more content that on this site?
I have well over 750GB worth of video content yet to be uploaded (just don't have the time, this is just a hobby of mine), some previews are in the 'library' videos, other are yet to be uploaded. Contact me if you have a specific video in mind or a request and I'll see what I can do.

Q. Why are some of your videos not under a 'creative commons license'?
A. To produce my FREE creative commons videos I need equipment, software, electricity and food. The NatureClip PRO footage helps towards this. This content is available under 'Instant Access' too - simply donate £30 to access all this great content.

Q.Can I use the background music?
A. I use a range of creative commons background music which is always attributed in the video info box with a link. Please go to the original source.

Q. Can you send me your Creative Commons videos?
A. I have have too much video content to send all the links. It is easier to send you specific videos that you want, please choose and email me or donate £30 for Instant Access and get everything in one link.

Q. Can we collaborate on a video?
A. Sure, I have collaborated on a number of videos. Email me to discuss. If I have time and it will benefit us both I will gladly collaborate.

Q. Can you edit a video to fit my music, for free?
A. No. Editing takes a great deal of time, while I enjoy it I do not provide this service for free.
